This session will provide an overview of digital investment trends in the European ad marketplace. David Goddard, Chair of the IAB Programmatic Trading Committee, will discuss how these trends are driving changes and advances in the digital ad ecosystem. Kicking off the discussion will be a review of ad spend trends, programmatic buying and the emergence of CTV as a digital advertising platform.

With the looming post-3rd party cookie era, we will look at how AI and machine learning will fuel contextual targeting. This advance has the potential to provide more sophisticated understanding of sentiment, ensure brand suitability, and enhance targeting relevance. With all of this in mind, we’ll look at the evolving topic of measurement and the need for more complete measures to truly understand placement contribution to advertising performance and value.
